OUR STORY

ABOUT US

For more than 60 years Allied Metals has been a key player in the international non-ferrous metals recycling market.  Our mission is to provide the best markets for our suppliers and the highest quality materials for our clients while building and maintaining long-lasting relationships.

Throughout our evolution we’ve retained the values and agility of a small family business while acquiring the resources and market knowledge of an industry leader.  With an extensive global network of trading partners, mills, agents and an ever-expanding supply base spanning more than 70 countries we embrace any new business opportunity.  Whether it’s buying, selling, processing, logistical issues, scrap or primary material let us know how we can help.

A LEGACY OF METALS RECYCLING

Established in Miami in 1963 by Peter Mosheim, Allied Metals began as a buyer of red metals servicing local accounts.  Through hard work, innovation, superior service and trust, the business grew quickly and expanded into other non-ferrous metals and international markets.  In the 1980’s Peter was joined by his sons Paul and Bob.  Under Paul’s direction the company continued to grow, and an international brokerage business was established that continues to flourish under the next generation of leadership.

In 2012 PMR Inc (www.pmrinc.com), the largest privately held copper processer in the U.S., acquired Allied Metals.  A fourth-generation recycler owned by the Schilberg family, PMR’s resources and industry knowledge have created a dynamic pairing and further strengthened our position as market leader.

More than six decades after our founding Allied continues to expand its global reach, establishing new markets and building new relationships.

OPERATING ACROSS MORE THAN 50 COUNTRIES, ALLIED METALS CONNECTS GLOBAL METAL MARKETS THROUGH AN EXTENSIVE INTERNATIONAL NETWORK.
